According to the amendment, the Entitlement to the full 24 months of leave only possible if at least two months of parental leave are provided by each parent Otherwise, the duration is reduced to 22 months. Excepted from this change are single parents and employees whose other parent is not entitled to parental leave.
The new requirements do not result in any changes to the provisions for maternity protection evaluation. However, an adjustment to the maternity protection instruction will be necessary.
