Impartiality, independence and integrity

Due to its size and organization, STB-AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU is completely independent of suppliers, clients and association members, both in terms of technical decisions and financially.

The top management of STB AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU is committed to complying with all national and international requirements (standards, laws and other regulations) for the operation of testing, inspection, calibration, certification, verification and notified bodies.

In order to ensure the impartial services of a third party, within STB AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU, in particular the accredited technical services (such as testing, monitoring, calibration, certification, etc.) were clearly separated from any consulting services.

The accredited testing, inspection, calibration and certification bodies of STB AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU are “third parties” and meet the national and international requirements for operating a testing body, an inspection body (Type A), a certification body and a notified body.

The respective authorisations at state and/or federal level are also subject to publication (with restriction to the number of notifications and awarding authority).

Through permanent and appropriate measures (committee to ensure impartiality, supervision, monitoring, internal audits, regular analysis of conflicts of interest of accredited bodies, etc.) the top management ensures that objectivity and impartiality are guaranteed.

For all employees of STB AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU, acting with integrity is a matter of course. Impartiality is supported by the complete professional freedom of the authorized signatories in the accredited and notified areas.

Each employee is also obliged to disclose situations that could lead to conflicts of interest. In such cases, the report is made to the supervisor, who decides together with the employee how to resolve the conflict of interest, taking into account all legal and regulatory requirements.

Due to the permanent employment relationship as employees at STB AUSTRIA PETER DORNHACKL eU and a salary in line with the industry, the testing, inspection, calibration, verification and certification personnel are not dependent on the number of jobs carried out.
